First Class Work

Computer Units of Measurement Review activity

Description:

This activity is designed to evaluate your prior(pre-existing) knowledge of computer fundamentals. In this activity students are required to apply their knowledge of computer units of measurement to solve a
set of problems.

Instructions:

In your "electronic notebook" solve the following problems.


Classwork:

Create a Microsoft word file "write a word" and then check what is the file size. Compare this size with the size of a picture, power point presentation, mp3 file, video file.

b.How many videos of 60 MB can I save into my 4 GB usb memory?

5.Perform the following conversions:

a. 3 Tera Bytes to Mega Bytes
b. 1024 Giga Bytes to TeraBytes
c. 300 Mega Bytes to Kilo Bytes
d. 20000 Kilo Bytes to Giga Bytes


6. In your own words explain the procedure you followed to convert from Tera Bytes to Mega Bytes.
